I recently had the opportunity to talk with someone who has a fascinating life story. This person had emigrated to the US many years ago speaking fewer than 100 words of English. The emigration was not planned and occurred on a whim. This person ended up learning the language, getting a job, and having a family. This person hasn’t left the country since.
